Why Living Water College Preparatory

Selecting a high school is one of the most important decisions you will make for your son or daughter. Living Water College Preparatory is for students and parents who want an active role in planning and pacing their education and future goals.

We have both a standard 4-year TEA high school program (fully accredited) as well as a highly accelerated college preparatory track designed to accumulate a maximum number of college credit hours before high school graduation.

The latter also allows for a 3-year graduation plan because an accelerated student’s pace is based upon his/her own ability, rather than the slowest student in a regular classroom.

Dual college / high school credit courses and College Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests are strongly encouraged. Students should be able to graduate high school with a minimum of six (6) college credit hours, upwards to earning an Associates degree while still in high school.

STANDARDS & EXPECTATIONS

Virtually every student is surprised by how strong and well-developed their writing skills become are after the first semester. This is accomplished through intensive one-on-one student/instructor attention and critique during the writing process.

BACHELOR OF ARTS (B.A.) CANDIDATES
We offer a TEA-approved college preparatory course of study, including pre-calculus, pre-algebra and modern non-Euclidian geometry. This course of study is available to students with arts-oriented college and career goals.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (B.S.) CANDIDATES (Engineering, Medicine, et cetera)
To give our Sciences students a competitive advantage, they must adhere to strict international standards and expectations that are inarguably the most rigorous of any education option available in the Fort Bend County area.

Living Water College Preparatory is the ONLY school that provides unabridged Euclidian Geometry, Trigonometry and Calculus courses in their purest traditional form for students seeking professions requiring higher-level analytical skills.

INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY OPPORTUNITIES

Studies can also occur outside the classroom, allowing for family travel, amateur athletics, and similar activities. High School credit can be awarded for participation in qualifying extra-curricular activities such as amateur sports, selected team sports, piano lessons, internships, etc.

MODIFIED BLOCK SCHEDULE

A “Modified Block Schedule” approach drastically increases learning efficiency. Four subjects are concentrated upon at a time, with daily mathematics and foreign language modules in single-hour blocks.

FLEXIBILITY

We can be flexible with curriculum and scheduling, provided that LWCP’s standards and expectations are upheld. The end result is what really matters...a mature, well adjusted college-ready student who will not just get accepted to college, but graduate from college.

(less than 35% of Texas college freshmen ever compete a Bachelor's degree)

FAMILY TIME

We know you are busy and that family time is sacred. Therefore, we strive to keep demands upon parents to a minimum and homework to the least possible amount. Furthermore, LWCP will avoid “nickel-and-diming” you with endless fundraisers. One (possibly two) major fundraisers will be held each year and we will strive to incorporate meaningful activities.
